List of Different type of operating system
operating system is system software which directly interacts with hardware and manager software resource. operating system allows user to work / use with hardware in indirect way.it is the very important component of system software. and all application software run over the system software because if they want to contact with hardware the operating system works as mediator for their contact. application first ask operating system and then operating system use hardware for specific task. for e.g. if you want to take out print out from MS-WORD then the MS-WORD which is application software first ask operating system and then OS (operating system ) use printer to print.

guys when we talk about the different type of operating system the thing or names come in our mind are Microsoft Windows, Apple ios, Ubuntu, fedora, Windows server, Solaris, Mandriva, etc. but these are not the type of operating system these are name of operating system or these are operating system made on specific type of operating system developed by some company or companies.
